Mike King

Retired Police Commander | Criminologist | Author

Mike started the podcast and website www.ProfilingEvil.com during the Covid shutdown and it took off among true crime enthusiasts. His goal is to explore predatory behavior so people can learn from it to reduce their risk of becoming victims themselves through awareness.

Mike retired from law enforcement after 28 years. He worked in patrol, SWAT, investigations and he ultimately served as chief of staff in the Utah Attorney General's Office. Mike regularly appears on CourtTV as a law enforcement subject matter expert. He has also been featured on NewsNation, FOX, Nancy Grace & Dr. Phil. He and FBI profiler Greg Cooper were principal investigators on the Emmy award-winning documentary, "Who Killed King Tut?" He also worked on A&E's "Killing Season" and "A&E's History's Greatest Mysteries" with Lawrence Fishburne.

Mike has written two books, "Deceived, An Investigative Memoir of the Zion Society Cult" and "She Knew No Fear." He has also co-authored, "Who Killed King Tut?", "Predators, Who They Are and How to Stop Them", and “Profilers, Leading Investigators Take You Inside the Criminal Mind.”

Mike has a Master of Criminal Justice degree, a Bachelor of Arts and an Associate’s degree along with thousands of hours of law enforcement training.
